How To Make Sourdough English Muffins Recipe
Homemade sourdough English muffins with a crispy exterior and soft interior.

Ingredients
- 1 cup active sourdough starter
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 1 tsp baking soda
Instructions

In a large bowl, mix together the sourdough starter, milk, sugar, salt and flour until the dough is smooth.

Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rise until doubled in size, about 4 hours.

Stir in the cornmeal and baking soda until well combined.

Heat a griddle or heavy skillet over medium heat.

Form the dough into 8 equal sized pieces and flatten them into rounds.

Cook the muffins on the griddle for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy on the outside and cooked through on the inside.

Cool the muffins on a wire rack for a few minutes before enjoying with your favorite toppings.
