How To Make Honey Oatmeal Bread II

Ingredients
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
Instructions

In a bowl, combine the oats, boiling water, honey, and butter. Let it cool to lukewarm.

In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the oat mixture, yeast mixture, flour, and salt. Mix well until a dough forms.

Place the dough on a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Grease a large bowl with oil and place the dough in it, turning to coat. Cover with a clean towel and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until doubled in size.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.

Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in the prepared loaf pan.

Cover with the clean towel and let it rise for another 30 minutes.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
