  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add the cold butter and mix with your hands until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. Gradually add the milk, mixing until a soft dough forms.

  5. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 1 minute.

  6. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each into a round patty, about 1/2 inch thick.

  7. Place the patties on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.

  8. Serve warm with butter, jam, or any other toppings of your choice.
