Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cumin seeds, and salt. Mix well.

  2. Gradually add yogurt and olive oil to the flour mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.

  3. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic.

  4. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a circle.

  5. In a separate bowl, mix together the onion, garlic, chicken, cheese, and coriander leaves.

  6. Spoon a portion of the filling onto one half of each circle of dough, then fold over the other half to cover the filling.

  7. Heat a grill pan or non-stick skillet over medium heat. Place the filled flatbreads on the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.

  8. Serve the grilled and filled flatbreads hot, with a side of yogurt or chutney.
