  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Assorted cured meats (salami, prosciutto, etc.)
  • Assorted cheeses (mozzarella, cheddar, etc.)
  • Marinated olives
  • Roasted red peppers
  • Fresh vegetables (cucumber, cherry tomatoes, etc.)
  • Dips and spreads (hummus, pesto, etc.)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (basil, parsley, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the warm water and olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.

  2. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.

  3. Roll out each portion of dough into a thin round shape.

  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook each flatbread for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and puffed.

  5. Remove from the skillet and keep warm.

  6. Arrange the cured meats, cheeses, olives, roasted red peppers, fresh vegetables, dips, and spreads on a large platter.

  7. Place the warm flatbreads on another platter.

  8. Serve the antipasti platter with the homemade flatbreads alongside.

  9. Garnish with fresh herbs for added flavor and visual appeal.
