Ingredients

  • 1 lb striploin of beef, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp sake
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, sake, sugar, garlic, and ginger.

  2. Add the beef slices to the marinade and let it sit for at least 15 minutes.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Remove beef from marinade, reserving the marinade for later.

  5. Sear the beef slices for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned.

  6. Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  7. Serve the soy & sake-marinated striploin of beef hot with steamed rice or noodles.
