How To Make Sirloin Steaks with Pizzaiola Sauce

Ingredients
- 4 sirloin steaks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Instructions

Season the sirloin steaks with salt and pepper on both sides.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the diced tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.

Return the steaks to the skillet and spoon the pizzaiola sauce over them.

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.

Serve the sirloin steaks with pizzaiola sauce hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
