Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 4 sub rolls or baguettes
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices of provolone cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce, tomato

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Season the sirloin steak with salt and pepper, then add it to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired level of doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Cook for 5-6 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized.

  4. Slice the sub rolls or baguettes in half, leaving one side intact.

  5. Place a slice of provolone cheese on each sub roll or baguette.

  6. Divide the cooked steak among the sandwiches, placing it on top of the cheese.

  7. Top with the cooked onions and bell peppers.

  8. Optional: Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the other half of the bread, and add lettuce and tomato slices.

  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
