Ingredients

  • 1 pound of sirloin steak
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise
  • Lettuce leaves, for serving
  • Tomato slices, for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the sirloin steak with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes and then slice it thinly.

  3. Toast the bread slices.

  4. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice.

  5. Assemble the sandwich by layering one slice of bread with cheese, steak slices, onion, and bell pepper. Top with another slice of bread and repeat the layers.

  6. Place the final slice of bread on top.

  7. Cut the sandwich into quarters and secure with toothpicks.

  8. Serve with lettuce leaves and tomato slices.
