Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup mushrooms, diced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

  3. Add the mushrooms, onion, garlic, thyme, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Cook for 5 minutes, until the mushrooms have softened.

  4. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut out rounds large enough to fit into a muffin tin. Place the pastry rounds into the greased muffin tin cups.

  5. Spoon the beef and mushroom mixture into each pastry cup.

  6. Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg to seal the pies.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and crisp.

  8. Serve the little beef and mushroom pies hot as a snack or appetizer.
