How To Make Keema Samosas

Crispy pastry with spiced ground meat filling.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 package of samosa wrappers
  • Water for sealing
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat vegetable oil and sauté onions until brown.

  2. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for another minute.

  3. Add the ground meat and spices and cook until the meat is browned.

  4. Let the mixture cool down.

  5. Cut the samosa wrappers into triangles.

  6. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture on each triangle and fold into a samosa shape.

  7. Use water to seal the edges.

  8. Heat oil in a pan and fry samosas till golden brown.

  9. Serve with chutney or ketchup.
