How To Make Lamb Keema Shepherd’s Pie

Ingredients

  • 500g ground lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.

  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger paste, and cook for another minute.

  3. Add the ground lamb and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

  4. Stir in the cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

  5. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  6. Spread the lamb keema mixture evenly in a baking dish.

  7. Top with the mashed potatoes and spread it out evenly over the lamb keema.

  8. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown.

  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
