How To Make Puffed Caramel Corn

Ingredients
- 4 cups of popped popcorn
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup of light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Place the popped popcorn in a large bowl.

In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, butter, corn syrup, and salt. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.

Continue stirring and let it boil for 4 minutes. Remove from heat.

Stir in the baking soda and vanilla extract until well combined. The mixture will become foamy.

Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn, stirring to coat evenly.

Transfer the coated popcorn onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out in an even layer.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before serving.
