  • 1 pound of chestnuts
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Using a sharp knife, make a small slit on the flat side of each chestnut.

  3. Place the chestnuts in a single layer on a baking sheet.

  4. Drizzle the olive oil over the chestnuts and sprinkle with sea salt.

  5. Toss the chestnuts to coat them evenly with the oil and salt.

  6. Roast the chestnuts in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the shells begin to open and the nuts are tender.

  7. Remove the chestnuts from the oven and let them cool slightly.

  8. Peel the shells off the chestnuts while they are still warm.
