  • 2 pounds raw peanuts in shells
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • Water

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, add the peanuts, salt, and enough water to cover the peanuts completely.

  2. Bring the water to a boil over high heat.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and let the peanuts simmer for 2 hours, or until they are tender.

  4. Check the peanuts occasionally and add more water if needed to keep them covered.

  5. Once the peanuts are tender, drain them and let them cool slightly before serving.
