How To Make Shrimp Nachos

Follow these tasty nachos recipes for some not-so-ordinary appetizers. Layer those tortilla chips with beef, cheese, onions, tomatoes and a whole lot more! Mix and match the best ingredients with your nachos for a quick hunger buster.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 bag tortilla chips
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapenos
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Sour cream and guacamole for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. In a bowl, mix together olive oil, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add shrimp and toss to coat.

  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, until cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. Arrange tortilla chips on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the chips.

  5. Add cooked shrimp evenly over the cheese. Top with diced tomatoes, red onions, and jalapenos.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  7. Remove from oven and garnish with chopped cilantro.

  8. Serve immediately with sour cream and guacamole.
