How To Make Mushroom & Goat’s Cheese Tartlets

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 200g of mushrooms, sliced
  • 100g of goat’s cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into small circles or squares to fit into tartlet molds.

  3. Place the pastry circles or squares into the molds and prick the bottom with a fork. Place in the fridge while preparing the filling.

  4. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

  5. Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Remove the tartlet molds from the fridge and fill each one with the cooked mushrooms.

  7. Crumble the goat’s cheese on top of the mushrooms.

  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the cheese has melted.

  9. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh thyme leaves before serving.
