Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 sirloin steaks
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package of puff pastry
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
-
Season the steaks with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over high heat and sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes on each side. Transfer to a baking sheet and cook in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare, or adjust cooking time to desired doneness.
-
Meanwhile, roll out the puff pastry and cut into small squares or circles. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
-
In the same skillet used for the steaks, sauté the mushrooms until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
-
Spoon a small amount of mushrooms onto each puff pastry square or circle. Top with shredded Gruyere cheese.
-
Bake the puff pastry tartlets in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
-
Remove the steaks from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
-
Serve the sliced steak with the mushroom puff tartlets. Garnish with chopped parsley.
