How To Make Goat’s Cheese, Red Onion & Pine Nut Freezer Tartlets

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 frozen tartlet shells
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 50g goat’s cheese, crumbled
  • 25g pine nuts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Place the frozen tartlet shells on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.

  2. In the meantime, heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the sliced red onion and cook until soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes. Set aside.

  3. Remove the tartlet shells from the oven and divide the caramelized red onion among them. Top with crumbled goat’s cheese and pine nuts.

  4. Return the tartlets to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the pine nuts are toasted.

  5. Drizzle the tartlets with balsamic glaze and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
