  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 tablespoons of pesto
  • 1 cup of grated cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet onto a lightly floured surface.

  3. Spread the pesto evenly over the pastry.

  4. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the pesto.

  5. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Starting from one end, roll the pastry tightly into a log shape.

  7. Slice the log into 1-inch thick slices.

  8. Place the slices onto a greased baking sheet.

  9. Brush the slices with the beaten egg.

  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
