How To Make Ground Beef and Cornbread Casserole
A hearty casserole with ground beef and cornbread.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, drained
- 1 can (15.25 oz) corn, drained
- 1 package (8.5 oz) cornbread mix
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup milk
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Shredded cheddar cheese, for topping
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a large skillet, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is no longer pink. Drain excess fat.

Add diced tomatoes, corn, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir to combine and cook for 5 minutes.

Pour beef mixture into a 9×13 inch baking dish.

In a bowl, whisk together cornbread mix, egg, and milk until well combined. Pour cornbread batter over the beef mixture.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the cornbread is golden brown.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and bake for 5 more minutes or until cheese is melted.

Serve hot.
