These healthy muffins are made with whole grain flour and packed with chunks of fresh apples and warm cinnamon flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole grain flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 apple, peeled and diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line muffin tin.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, oats, cinnamon, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, applesauce, and honey.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and mix well.
  5. Fold in the diced apples.
  6. Pour the batter into the muffin tin and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let cool and enjoy.
