  • 1 cup of fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup of pine nuts
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, combine the basil leaves, Parmesan cheese, pine nuts, and garlic. Pulse until finely chopped.

  2. With the food processor running, slowly pour in the olive oil until the mixture forms a smooth paste.

  3. In a saucepan, heat the pesto mixture over medium heat. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Cook the sauce for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly thickened.

  5. Serve the Pesto Alfredo Sauce over cooked pasta or grilled chicken.
