How To Make Cornell Chicken Marinade

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken pieces (legs, thighs, or breasts)
  • 1 cup of cider vinegar
  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp of poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp of salt
  • 1 tsp of pepper
  • 1 tsp of garlic powder
  • 1 tsp of onion powder
  • 1 tsp of dried thyme leaves

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together cider vinegar, vegetable oil, poultry seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme leaves.

  2. Place chicken pieces in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over the chicken.

  3. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

  4. Preheat grill or oven to medium-high heat.

  5. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the marinade.

  6. Grill the chicken for about 15-20 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).

  7. Alternatively, you can roast the chicken in the oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through.

  8. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
