Ingredients
- 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeds removed
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Optional toppings: additional cilantro, diced jalapeno
Instructions

In a food processor, add the chickpeas, cilantro, jalapeno pepper, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, cumin, and salt.

Process the mixture until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides of the food processor as needed.

Drizzle in the olive oil while the food processor is running and continue to process until well combined.

Taste and adjust seasonings as desired.

Transfer the hummus to a serving dish and garnish with additional cilantro and diced jalapeno, if desired.
