Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried basil
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until onions are translucent.

Add red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Pour in crushed tomatoes and sugar. Stir well to combine.

Season with salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and dried basil. Stir again.

Simmer the sauce on low heat for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Use an immersion blender or regular blender to blend the sauce until smooth.
