How To Make Instant Pot Shrimp Etouffee Recipe
Spicy Shrimp in a buttery roux-based sauce with cajun seasonings.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- Cooked rice, to serve
Instructions

Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and melt the butter.

Add the onions, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt. Stir to combine.

Add the flour and stir until it is fully combined and no lumps remain.

Gradually pour in the chicken broth, stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth and thick.

Add the shrimp and stir until they are fully coated in the sauce.

Cancel sauté mode and cover the Instant Pot with the lid. Set to manual high pressure and cook for 5 minutes.

Once the time is up, carefully quick-release the pressure.

Stir in the green onions and parsley.

Serve over cooked rice.
