How To Make Flax Seed Veggie Burger Recipe

A healthy vegetarian burger made with flax seeds, vegetables and spices.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup ground flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg
  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mayo for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together flax seeds, carrots, bell peppers, onions, garlic, cumin powder, smoked paprika, salt and pepper.

  2. Add egg to the mixture and combine well.

  3. Form patties and cook on a greased pan over medium heat for 5 minutes on each side.

  4. Toast burger buns and assemble the burger with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mayo.
