Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Purple, yellow, and pink food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  3. Beat in eggs, vanilla extract, and heavy cream.

  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture until fully combined.

  6. Divide dough into three equal parts. Add different food coloring to each part.

  7. Roll each dough piece into a long and thin log. Put the three logs together and twist.

  8. Roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes.

  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

  10. Allow to cool before serving.
