Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ tsp active dry yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾. Mix well.

  • In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter until butter is melted. Add to flour mixture.

  • Add egg and mix well, then knead for 4-5 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic.

  • Fold in raisins and let dough rest in a warm place for 10 minutes.

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Roll dough into a circular shape and place onto baking sheet. Brush with egg wash.

  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden-brown. Let cool before slicing and serving.
