Ingredients

  • 1 cup of mincemeat
  • 1 cup of dried fruit (such as raisins, currants, or cranberries)
  • 1/2 cup of chopped nuts (such as almonds or walnuts)
  • 1/4 cup of brandy or rum (optional)
  • 1/4 cup of orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cloves

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the mincemeat, dried fruit, chopped nuts, brandy (if using), orange juice, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves. Mix well to combine.

  2. Allow the mixture to sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

  3. Serve as a filling for pies, tarts, or cookies, or enjoy it on its own.
