Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup mincemeat
- 1/4 cup raisins
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the cold butter and mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
-
Slowly add the milk while mixing until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth.
-
Roll out the dough into a rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the mincemeat evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
-
Sprinkle the raisins over the mincemeat. Starting from one long side, tightly roll up the dough into a log.
-
Cut the log into 8 equal-sized buns and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
