How To Make Gingerbread Bites

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.

  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in molasses, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Bake for 10 minutes or until edges are firm.

  8. Allow gingerbread bites to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
