Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • ⅔ cup evaporated milk
  • ⅓ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 7-8 drops red food coloring
  • ½ cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.

  2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaporated milk, and butter. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.

  3. Boil for 4 minutes, stirring constantly.

  4. Remove from heat and stir in white chocolate chips until melted.

  5. Stir in peppermint extract and red food coloring until well combined.

  6. Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.

  7. Sprinkle crushed candy canes over the top of the fudge and press gently.

  8. Allow fudge to cool at room temperature and then chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

  9. Once set, cut into squares and serve.
