Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

  2. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and arrange bread slices in a single layer.

  3. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and brown sugar until well blended.

  4. Pour mixture over bread slices, coating evenly, and let sit for 10 minutes.

  5. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook until golden brown.

  6. Pour melted butter over bread and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown.

  7. Serve with a sprinkle of powdered sugar and maple syrup.
