  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 can of baked beans
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp of chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp of cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Toast the slices of bread and set aside.

  2. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until tender.

  3. Add the chili powder, cumin powder, and paprika to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

  4. Pour in the baked beans and simmer for about 5 minutes, until heated through.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Place the toasted bread on serving plates and spoon the spicy beans over the top.

  7. Garnish with fresh parsley.

  8. Serve immediately.
