How To Make Canned Salmon and Dill Tart Recipe

A delicious and flavorful tart filled with canned salmon and fresh dill.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of salmon, drained and flaked
  • 1/4 cup of sour cream
  • 2 tbsp of fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp of salt
  • 1/4 tsp of black pepper
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tbsp of water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a bowl, mix together the canned salmon, sour cream, fresh dill, onion, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 4 equal squares.

  4. Place the puff pastry squares onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Spoon the salmon mixture onto each puff pastry square, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.

  6. Brush the edges of the puff pastry squares with the beaten egg.

  7. Bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown and puffed up.

  8. Serve hot or cold.
