  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and grated
  • 1 small onion, grated
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, onion, garlic, flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Take handfuls of the potato mixture and shape them into flat patties. Add the patties to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and crispy.

  4. Transfer the cooked potato cakes to the prepared baking sheet and place them in the preheated oven for an additional 10-15 minutes to ensure they are cooked all the way through.

  5. Serve the crisp potato cakes hot as a side or appetizer.
