How To Make Hasselback Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Slice each potato widthwise, without cutting all the way through. The slices should be about 1/8 inch thick.

  3. Place the potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, garlic, and rosemary.

  5. Brush the butter mixture over the potatoes, making sure to get in between the slices.

  6. Season the potatoes with salt and pepper.

  7. Bake the potatoes for 40-45 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy.

  8. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the potatoes in the last 5 minutes of baking.

  9. Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
