Pork is one of the most commonly cooked meats in the world and we’ve decided to put our spin into these minimal yet tasty pork recipes that will have you looking forward to every bite.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 25 minutes
Total: 35 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 8 sausages
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the sausages from the skillet and set aside.

  2. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and caramelized, about 10 minutes.

  3. Sprinkle the flour over the onions and stir well to coat. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

  4. Slowly pour in the beef or vegetable broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, or until the gravy has thickened.

  5. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste. Return the sausages to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5 minutes, until heated through.

  6. Serve the sausages with the onion gravy poured over the top. Enjoy!
