How To Make Bangers And Mash Sausage Rolls

Bangers and mash sausage rolls are a classic British dish and irresistible finger food made with sausage and mashed potato wrapped in flaky buttery dough.

Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 25 minutes
Total: 45 minutes
Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4sausages
  • mashed potato,cold
  • 4pcspuff pastry,thawed
  • 1egg
  • onion gravy,for a side, optional

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the sausages on all sides until mostly cooked through. Set aside to cool slightly.

  2. Unroll each sheet of puff pastry and cut into 4 pieces.

  3. Spread the mash over each pastry, top with cooked sausage, and additional mash.

  4. Roll up each sheet then pinch together to seal and trim off any excess.

  5. Place on a greased baking sheet, seam side down and brush each roll with beaten egg.

  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees F for about 25 to 30 minutes or until the pastry is golden and crispy on all sides and the meat has cooked through. Serve with a side of onion gravy.
