So, it’s not really so surprising to know that you can recreate lots of dishes with this as the main protein. Sure, they taste great with a simple splash of seasoning. Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 small red cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 apples, cored and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium-high heat and sear the pork chops for about 3 minutes per side until browned. Place the seared chops on a baking sheet and transfer to the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until cooked through.

  3. In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook until translucent. Add the sliced apples and cabbage and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.

  4. Stir in the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the flavors are well combined and the cabbage is coated in the sweet and tangy sauce.

  5. Serve the pork chops topped with the fruity red cabbage mixture.
