Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan.

  2. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper.

  3. In a small saucepan, combine the pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, ginger, and garlic powder.

  4. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.

  5. Brush the pork chops with the pineapple glaze on both sides.

  6. Grill the pork chops for about 10 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

  7. Brush with additional glaze while grilling.

  8. Remove from the grill and let the chops rest for a few minutes.

  9. Serve the pineapple pork chops with a garnish of chopped fresh cilantro.
