How To Make Dry-Brined Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Pat dry the pork chops with paper towels.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, dried thyme, and paprika.

  3. Rub the salt mixture evenly on both sides of the pork chops. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

  4. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Brush the pork chops with olive oil.

  6. Grill or cook the pork chops for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

  7. Remove from heat, cover with foil, and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
