How To Make Mushroom and Thyme Galette

A savory pastry filled with mushrooms and thyme seasoned to perfection.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry dough
  • 2 cups of sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp of olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp of fresh thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay the puff pastry dough on top.

  3. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the mushrooms, garlic, thyme and oil for 5-7 minutes.

  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Spread the mushroom mixture on top of the puff pastry leaving a 2 inch border.

  6. Fold the edges of the pastry over the mushrooms to create a galette, brush with egg wash.

  7. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

  8. Allow the galette to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
