Ingredients

  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 cup sliced morel mushrooms
  • 1 cup grated gruyere cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, add sliced mushrooms and sauté until tender.

  3. Place pre-made pie crust in a 9 inch pie dish.

  4. Layer grated gruyere cheese and sautéed mushrooms in the pie shell.

  5. Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, and black pepper in a separate bowl and pour over the mushrooms and cheese in the pie shell.

  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the quiche is set and lightly golden.

  7. Let the quiche cool for 10 minutes before serving.
