How To Make Sausage, Bean & Cheese Pasties

Ingredients
- 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated pie crust
- 1/2 lb sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup cooked white beans, mashed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll out the pie crust on a lightly floured surface. Cut out 4 circles, about 6 inches in diameter.

In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage, mashed beans, shredded cheese, beaten egg, salt, and pepper.

Place a spoonful of the sausage and bean mixture on one half of each pie crust circle. Fold the other half over the filling to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges firmly to seal, and use a fork to crimp the edges.

Place the pasties on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and cooked through.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
