Ingredients
- 2 bunches of collard greens, stems removed and leaves chopped
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of sugar (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set aside.

In the same pot, sauté the onion and garlic until fragrant.

Add the collard greens to the pot and cook until wilted.

Pour in the chicken broth and apple cider vinegar. Stir well.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

If desired, add sugar, salt, and pepper to taste.

Serve the collard greens hot, topped with the cooked bacon.
