How To Make Kickin’ Collard Greens Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 bunch of collard greens, stems removed and leaves chopped
- 4 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

In a large pot, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon from the pot and set aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pot.

Add diced onion to the pot and cook until softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.

Stir in minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook for another minute.

Add the chopped collard greens to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes, until wilted.

Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour, or until the collard greens are tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the Kickin’ Collard Greens hot, topped with the cooked bacon.
