Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized turnips, peeled and sliced
- 4 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large pot of boiling water, blanch the sliced turnips for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.

In a greased baking dish, layer half of the blanched turnip slices, followed by half of the crumbled bacon and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.

In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Pour the cream mixture over the layered turnips, bacon, and cheese.

Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese on top.

Bake for 1 hour, or until the turnips are tender and the cheese is golden and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
